The St. Thomas Gospel Choir (STGC), based at the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas in Philadelphia, is a community choir with singers from ten different churches and consists of over fifty spirit-filled, energetic, and anointed musical ambassadors of song. The award-winning STGC was founded in 1991 under the leadership of Walt Blocker and the vision of the late Rev. Canon Jesse F. Anderson Jr and was the first Gospel Choir formed in the Episcopal Church.
