Melissa Perry, MM
Melissa Perry is a seasoned soprano who always sings with heart. She has sung throughout the United States, Mexico and Italy. Her shining voice of power, agility and classic Italian chiaroscuro is beginning to be recognized as a true Voce Verdiana.
Melissa completed a Bachelor of Music (cum laude) from Westminster Choir College and a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Opera from Temple University where she won the prestigious Temple University concerto completion and was invited to join the Phi Kappa Lambda music honor society. She was a finalist in the New York Vocal Artists Millennium Competition, which gave her a New York Debut at Weill Hall of Carnegie Hall. Her post graduate work included 750 hours study with Maestro Vittorio Rosetta of La Scala and included numerous concerts in Italy. She returned to America to sing the roles of Violetta, Mimi, Micaela, Pamina, and Nedda in New York, Texas, Philadelphia and New Jersey. Locally you may have heard Melissa featured in concerts with opera stars Stuart Neill, John Packard, Robert Mac Farland, Cody Austin, George Grey, Sharon Rose Derstine and Eduardo Villa. Melissa’s first love was actually musical theater and she now includes it and many treasures from the American Songbook in her programs. Melissa also has a private voice studio in both Haddonfield and New York specializing in professional Stage Singing.
