Cale Hoeflicker, DM
Cale Hoeflicker has over 10 years of experience as a professional music educator at institutions such as Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, University of Indianapolis, and Franklin College. In addition to teaching aspiring professionals, he has worked with all levels and age groups in community music schools, after school programs, and in his private studio. Since moving to New Jersey last summer, he has been building his guitar studio at the Haddonfield Center and School for Performing Arts. Though he was originally inspired to pick up the guitar by rock n roll, Cale’s specialty is classical guitar, and he has performed throughout the U.S. as a soloist and chamber musician. In the past year, he has performed regularly in South Jersey and Philadelphia with his wife, harpist Megan Landfair, and also with violinist Molly Christie, who also teaches at the HCSPA.
Cale earned his Master’s degree in music at the University of Arizona, and his doctoral degree at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, where his major was guitar performance and his minors were music education and jazz studies. He also spent a year on a Fulbright Scholarship studying guitar at the Franz Liszt Hochschule für Musik in Weimar, Germany. Cale is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with students of all ages and ability levels, and he is happy to teach all styles of music.
